Reviewing Applications 🔎

Every application is carefully reviewed by one of our Talent Partners (not a robot 🤖). You’ll notice that all roles have application questions. We understand that this adds more time to your application, but your answers to these questions are really important to us. We do genuinely read all of them!

We ask that you please submit your application in English as it’s the main language here at Edpuzzle. If we decide to move forward, we’ll invite you to a first interview. But, regrettably, we won’t have enough time to meet everyone. If we don’t think we’re a match, we’ll also let you know by email as soon as possible.

Please note we’re unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback on your application at this early stage of the process.

People & Culture Interview 🗣️

👤 With: Talent Team

Length: 60 minutes

🤓 Purpose: In this interview you’ll meet the person who will support and guide you through each step of the selection process. It’s a chance for us to get to know you beyond your CV — your experience, motivations, and discuss if Edpuzzle could be the right fit for you. We’ll also share more about our culture, team and what makes us tick!

Technical Interview 📊

📍 Where: Online

👤 With: Hiring Manager

Challenge 💻

📍 Where: Your home

Length: 4 7 days

🤓 Purpose: We craft the challenge to mirror the types of tasks you’d handle in the role. It’s your opportunity to showcase your skills and picture a day in the life with us. We’re looking to understand your approach to problem solving, your ability to collaborate and how you’d potentially adapt to our day-to-day operations. This doesn’t mean you'll work alone and can’t ask any questions! We'll be working with you as a team during this stage and will open a Slack channel so you can interact with us if you run into any issues or have any questions.

🤖 Disclaimer: You are welcome to use any resources and tools at your disposal to tackle the challenge, but remember the final work should reflect your unique approach and reasoning to problem-solving — we’re looking to understand your unique contribution, opinions and expertise.

Challenge Review 📝

📍 Where: Online or On-site, depending on where you are based

👤 With: Potential future colleagues (usually 2 Edpuzzlers)

⏳ Length: 60 minutes

🤓 Purpose: This is the meeting to dive into your challenge proposal, hear your thought process, and explore your work. The discussion will center around how you structured your approach and dive deeper into the reasoning behind your decisions. We're looking to engage in an interactive dialogue about your contribution, allowing you to share and exchange perspectives as you would in your day-to-day with your colleagues.

Final Stage 🏁

📍 Where: Online

👤 With: Future stakeholder

⏳ Length: 30 minutes

🤓 Purpose: In this final interview, you’ll meet an important stakeholder or potential teammate to get a feel of the team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration. This is your chance to ask any lingering questions to get the full picture of working together!

☎️ Reference Check: We value hearing from people who’ve worked with you before! At this stage, to keep things moving quickly, we’ll ask for professional references to enrich our understanding of your working style for a successful integration if you join our team. Don’t worry, we won’t contact your current employer without your permission.

Final Deliberation 💭

At this point, the selection process has finished ✨ It’s time to make a final decision! Please note that any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check (if applicable) and verification of your eligibility to work in the country where the position is based. Edpuzzle complies with all applicable immigration and employment laws.

💌 Offer: Congratulations! If we believe it’s a match, we’ll send you an offer outlining salary, benefits, proposed start date, and all the exciting details about joining Edpuzzle.

📭 Not a match: We’ll provide you with thoughtful feedback as to why we don’t believe we’re the right match for each other.

Important Considerations 💙

🚧 This is our standard hiring process, but keep in mind that it might be tweaked slightly depending on the role you’re applying for or location.

⌛ The length of the process will vary depending on your (and the team’s) availability; we’ll try to accommodate your timeline as much as possible. Flexibility is key, and we’ll always keep you in the loop after each stage!

🔢 Competition for jobs at Edpuzzle is always strong and we often have to make difficult choices between many high-caliber candidates.

👂 Don’t be shy about sharing your feedback on the process. We’re continuously striving to improve our candidate journey, and hearing about your experience is key for that.

❓ If something’s unclear along the way, ask. It shows you’re thoughtful, curious and thorough.
